Community Guidelines
Pre-launch draft. This document is still being written and has not been finalized or approved by legal review. It is not yet in effect, and it will change before Gunsumer opens registration.
What we expect from everyone who contributes. These reflect Gunsumer's community principles; the final guidelines will be completed before launch.
Beginners welcome. Teach, don't ridicule.
There are no stupid questions. Every owner was new once. Answer the way you would want to be answered, and explain rather than talk down.
Share real experience, honestly
- Report what you actually experienced with firearms you actually own or owned.
- Describe problems as your experience ("mine had feeding issues at 800 rounds"), not as established defects.
- Keep manufacturer information and personal opinion clearly separate, and cite sources where you can.
- Disagreement about firearms, brands and preferences is welcome. Abuse is not.
Not allowed
- Harassment, threats, or attacks on other members.
- Buying, selling, trading or arranging transfers of firearms, or trying to.
- Instructions for illegal modifications, defeating safety mechanisms, or evading firearm laws.
- Sharing anyone's private information, including serial numbers, addresses or storage locations.
- Spam, impersonation, undisclosed promotion, or manipulating votes or reviews.
- Unrelated political argument on firearm pages.
Protect your own privacy
Gunsumer never needs your serial numbers, address or storage location. Check photos for serial numbers and location details before you share them.
